After a 14-year career that took him abroad and to two different MLS teams, Robbie Russell made the leap to follow a dream years in the making. Upon retiring from DC United, Russell returned to school to become a doctor. Now just one year away from residency, Russell reflects on his path to medical school and the keys to perservering in such a challenging field.
