Game Plan
Game Plan is the leading platform used by athletic organizations to educate and develop their athletes & staff on and off the field. Their proprietary and athlete-specific personality assessments - the Athlete Interest & Next Play Pro - will help prepare and develop you for your professional careers and life after soccer.
Once completed, you will receive a full report breaking down your results and how to apply them to your educational and professional pursuits. MLSPA staff are also available to conduct 1-on-1 assessment debriefs.

Shift Group
Shift Group prepares former collegiate & professional athletes and military for careers in sales. This includes access to training courses and materials, a career coach, resume and LinkedIn support, interview prep, and more. Shift Group currently focuses on tech and pharmaceutical sales. US Soccer Coaching Courses
U.S. Soccer is committed to providing all coaches, from beginner to advanced, with education tailored to their experiences and the needs of their players. The Coaching License Pathway consists of a series of courses designed to meet the specific needs of a coach at every step of the way.
Active Players | US Soccer typically offers a pro athlete exclusive B course each year (see 2024 offering here). In the past, they have offered a virtual info session over the summer with the application opening up in September and selections going out in October. The course begins virtually in December and will carry through the following December. On either end of the course, players will be required to complete a 1-week in person session. Once your profile is complete, you’ll receive notifications directly from US Soccer. You can also email Gregorio Mount (gmount@mlsplayers.org) to get added to the MLSPA’s notification list. MLS Player Engagement also typically sends information out when US Soccer announces the offering.
Former Players | US Soccer offers B courses twice a year (Jan - Jun; July - Dec) at various locations across the country. At this time, US Soccer is not offering a former pro athlete specific B course. Following the links below, once your profile is complete, you’ll be able to add yourself to a course’s waitlist (a course with a “waitlist” status does not necessarily mean the course is already full) and receive course updates directly from US Soccer. We recommend emailing Gregorio Mount (gmount@mlsplayers.org) with your course selection(s) so we can follow up with US Soccer to support your acceptance into the course.

Money Management International (MMI)
MLS Player Engagement is collaborating with Money Management International (MMI) to provide financial education to players. In addition to financial education workshops, this beneficial service gives players and their families an opportunity to receive the individual guidance and unbiased education to make responsible financial decisions throughout players’ MLS careers and well into their transition after the game. Coaching services can be customized to meet each player’s unique needs. Through confidential, individual financial coaching literacy sessions, players can learn about budgeting, investing, credit & debt management, saving, creating a financial team, and more.
