Welcome Dan Jones: New Chief Operating Officer of the MLSPA

Jones joins the MLSPA from FedBid, Inc. where he was Vice President of Strategy & Sales Operations, responsible for the company's business intelligence platforms, growth and profitability initiatives, and corporate partnerships. As part of FedBid's management team, Jones helped lead the company's successful acquisition by Compusearch Software Systems, Inc. in October 2017. Prior to his time at FedBid, Jones served as White House Liaison to the U.S. Small Business Administration. As a presidentially appointed senior agency official, Jones advised the SBA Administrator on personnel decisions, priority agency initiatives, and strategic collaboration with the White House, federal agencies, state governments, and stakeholder groups. In addition to his work in the private and public sectors, Dan has worked on multiple state and national electoral and issue-based campaigns, including two years with former President Barack Obama as Director of National Field Operations and Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the historic 2008 presidential campaign. A native of Boston, MA, Jones holds a B.A. from Loyola University Chicago and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.

The opportunity to help shape the future of the Players Association and the landscape of professional soccer here in North America is incredibly exciting.

"This is another important addition we have made to our team over the last 12 months," said Foose. "Dan instantly provides the PA staff with greater depth and breadth and makes us better prepared to advocate and serve on behalf of players than at any other point in our 15-year history."

I'm grateful for the trust the players have bestowed on me and excited to get to work on their behalf.
