Washington, D.C. -- The Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) today announced that Jacori Hayes (Minnesota United FC) has been elected to serve as a member of its Executive Board. The Executive Board is the decision and policy-making body of the Players Association with its members serving as the PA’s chief officers.
MLSPA Player Representatives voted to elect Jacori to serve a three-year term. He joins the eight other members of the PA’s Executive Board, filling the ninth spot that became vacant upon the retirement of Luis Robles. “I’m very happy to be on the Executive Board of the MLSPA and looking forward to collaborating with the staff and player representatives. My goal is to advocate for the best working conditions for our current and future players.” In addition to his position as an Executive Board member, Jacori is also a member of Black Players for Change.
“I want to congratulate Jacori on his election and thank him for making the commitment to serve his fellow players and help guide us during this important period,” said MLSPA Executive Director Bob Foose. “The work and leadership of our Executive Board Members is the foundation of what makes the MLSPA what it is today.”
