On Saturday, #WondoWatch came to end as Chris Wondolowski tied, and then broke, the MLS all-time scoring record. The San Jose Earthquakes forward scored his first goal of the 2019 season, and 145th of his career, in the 21st minute of the match against the Chicago Fire to join Landon Donovan at the top of the MLS all-time scoring chart. Less than 30 minutes later, he struck again to surpass Donovan and take the title with goal number 146 of his career.
Wondolowski wasn't done just yet though, as the MLS veteran added two more goals for good measure in the second half to bring his career total to 148.
Around the league players took to social media to congratulate Wondo and several of his fellow PA members sat down to send a special message to the new goal-scoring king.
