Dan Jones
Chief Operating Officer
Dan Jones is the Chief Operating Officer for the MLSPA. In his role he leads day-to-day operational activities, strategic initiatives, and growth mandates on behalf of the players.
Dan’s career spans the private, public, and non-for-profit sectors. Prior to joining the PA, Dan was Vice President of Strategy & Sales Operations at FedBid, Inc. where he oversaw the company’s business intelligence products, strategic growth initiatives, and helped lead FedBid’s successful acquisition to Compusearch Software Systems. From 2010 to 2013 Dan served as White House Liaison to the U.S. Small Business Administration, advising the SBA Administrator on personnel decisions, priority agency initiatives, and strategic collaboration with the White House, federal agencies, and stakeholder groups.
In addition to his work in the public and private sectors, Dan has worked on multiple state and national electoral and issue-based campaigns, including two years with President Obama as his Director of National Field Operations and Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the historic 2008 campaign. Dan is a proud City Year alum, having served as a Program Leader at John W. Cook Elementary School in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham community.
A native of Boston, Dan is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago and Harvard Business School.
