John Thorrington was elected to the MLSPA Executive Board in 2013 where he served for one year.
John spent nine seasons in MLS, playing for the Chicago Fire, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and D.C. United from 2005-2013. Before joining the MLS, he played in Germany for Bayer Leverkusen and in England for Manchester United, Huddersfield Town and Grimbsy Town.
John also made four appearances for the United States men’s national team from 2001-2008.
Currently, he serves as executive vice president of soccer operations and general manager of Los Angeles FC.
