Ben Olsen was one of the founding members of the original MLSPA executive board where he served for six years.
Ben spent the entirety of his 12-year MLS career with D.C. United from 1998-2009, where he won two MLS Cups and was also a two-time All-Star. From 2000-2001, he played one season for Nottingham Forest F.C. in the British Premier League while on loan. Prior to his professional career, he played college soccer for the University of Virginia.
Ben also made 37 appearances and scored six goals for the United States men’s national team from 1998-2007.
Currently, he is the head coach of D.C. United, a position he has held since 2010.
