Alexi Lalas was one of the founding members of the original MLSPA executive board where he served for one year.

Alexi spent seven years in the MLS, playing for the New England Revolution, MetroStars, Kansas City Wizards and LA Galaxy from 1996-2003. He began his professional career with the Italian Serie A club Padova. Alexi played college soccer for Rutgers University.

Alexi is most known for his tenure on the U.S. men’s national team from 1991-1998, where he made 96 appearances and scored nine goals. He was named an honorable mention all-star for his performance in the 1994 World Cup.

Following his retirement in 2003, Alexi went on to serve as President and General Manager of the San Jose Earthquakes, General Manager of the New York Red Bulls and President of the LA Galaxy. Currently, he is a commentator for Fox Sports.
