Digital Content Coordinator

The Digital Content Coordinator will report to the Director of Digital Strategy and will be responsible for the content produced for the MLS Players Union websites, mobile app, social media and other communication platforms. The DCC will manage the creation of articles, posts, newsletters and other digital content in keeping with the overall communications strategy and will maintain a high editorial and visual standard as directed by the style guide and brand guidelines. 

• Manage all social media accounts and create regular content for each
• Write/solicit/edit articles for both internal and public websites
• Update and maintain website/application copy
• Create and maintain organization style guide
• Produce/edit content for internal communications (email, WhatsApp, push notifications, etc.)
• Oversee “listening” platforms and report on sentiment and public comments
• Contribute to the development of governing content strategy and associated platforms
• Monitor analytics and report on content performance

• Strong copy editing skills
• Strong writing skills
• Experience managing an editorial calendar
• Experience managing contributing authors/creators
• Journalistic experience (interviewing, research, etc.)
• Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Craft CMS, etc.)
• Basic graphic design capabilities (Adobe CS knowledge preferred)
• Basic analytics capabilities (Google Analytics, SM Analytics)

Additional Valued Skills:
• Proficiency in Spanish, French and/or Portuguese
• Video editing capabilities (Premier, Final Cut, iMovie)
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience with soccer and knowledge of the MLS
